(Press Release) — Bridge Capital, LLC, is deeply committed to the Saipan Community and is working hard to honor that commitment in the wake of Typhoon Soudelor.
Immediately after the storm, Bridge Capital provided much needed support and assistance to its staff including housing for several team members and their families. In addition, CEO and principal John K. Baldwin contacted acting Gov. Ralph D.L.G. Torres offering the company’s support and commitment to aid in the relief and recovery efforts.
Soon after, Bridge Capital donated $10,000 to the Salvation Army, and the entire staff has been volunteering at the donation center, preparing care packages and serving food to over 3,200 people. More recently, Bridge Capital also donated $5,000 to Marianas Young Professionals which has teamed up with United 4 Saipan, and CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Response CERT or Community Emergency Response Team to deliver direct aid to typhoon victims. Bridge Capital’s entire staff and management spent the day assembling and delivering relief goods to over 100 families and homes throughout Kagman, Tanapag, San Roque, and Garapan.

In addition, Bridge Capital has spent over $5,000 to assemble hundreds of care packages containing bottled water, toothbrushes, toilet paper, bath soap bars, and non-perishable foods, which will be delivered directly to families in need this week.
Most recently on Aug. 27, Bridge Capital donated $5,000 to the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter.
To date, Bridge Capital has donated $20,000 in cash and over $20,000 of in-kind support to various relief organizations and continues to volunteer its time and resources weekly to help its community.
Bridge Capital continues to work with and coordinate with the governor’s office to provide additional assistance particularly with more long-term rebuilding initiatives planning to bring in containers of much needed supplies in the coming weeks, which can be used to help rebuild and support the community of Saipan.
